Ron Netemeyer


Ron Netemeyer handles wrongful death cases, as well as serious injury cases in a variety of areas including products liability, railroad crossing accidents, automotive negligence, tractor-trailer accidents, nursing home litigation and medical malpractice. Throughout his legal career, Ron has protected the rights of individuals injured by the fault of others. As lead counsel, Ron as obtained a long list of favorable results on behalf of injured people and their families, including multiple million dollar verdicts and settlements.

Jill Harper


Jill Harper focuses her practice on obtaining compensation for people who have been injured through no fault of their own. In 2018, Jill and her partner, Ron Netemeyer, received one of the Top 5 Largest reported Plaintiffs verdicts in MO for 2017, as a result of the $45M judgment awarded to their client. Shortly therafter, in March of 2019, Jill was selected by Vox Magazine as one of the Top Five Most Powerful Women in Columbia. Jill's practice focuses primarily on personal injury matters.


Jeffrey L. Hilbrenner


Jeff Hilbrenner's practice focuses on serving those who have been accused of a crime and those who have been severely injured through no fault of their own. Jeff Hilbrenner has the reputation and track record of aggressively representing clients throughout many counties in Missouri. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Missouri with degrees in Business and Law. Prior to starting law school, Jeff spent several years as a member of Congressman Ike Skelton's staff in Washington D.C.

José Caldera


José Caldera is an accomplished civil lawyer with nearly a decade of experience.  He has litigated business law and probate cases throughout Missouri and argued before the Missouri Supreme Court. José was a former City of Columbia Assistant City Counselor specializing in Land Use and Development law. In that role, he designed the City's regulatory structures for various disruptive technologies, served as the City attorney for both the Board of Adjustment and Planning and Zoning Commission, and advised the City on large scale development projects. 


Kay Linette Evans


Kay Evans focuses exclusively on criminal law. Ms. Evans has practiced in Boone County and all surrounding counties for 24 years. She began her career as a Public Defender in 1989 and was chosen as Missouri's "OUTSTANDING DEFENDER" in 1994. This honor is given to an individual each year who "faithfully and unselfishly places justice before any other concerns", and whose talent, resourcefulness and dedication to her chosen profession embodies this ideal.

Helen Wade


Helen Wade focuses primarily on domestic cases including paternity cases, divorce cases, motions to modify child support, custody and maintenance awards. Helen was admitted into the Missouri Bar in 2004 and was also admitted and has practiced in front of the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri. Helen is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers, and the Boone County Bar Association where she currently holds the office of secretary (2005-2006).

Marjorie Marie Lewis


Marjorie Lewis graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law in 1994 where she was a member of the Law Review. She is a member of the Construction, Real Estate and Employment Law Sections of the Missouri Bar and is a member of the Boone County Bar Association (President 2016 - 2017). Marjorie is also admitted to practice in the U.S. Eastern and Western Districts Courts of Missouri. She provides representation in litigation and transactional matters, and acts as general counsel for various businesses.

Barry Gilbert


Barry Gilbert concentrates his practice in the area of family law, including divorce, high-conflict child custody, paternity, child support, military custody and pension cases, and guardianships. Barry has focused intensively in domestic litigation for over fifteen years and brings to every case his broad experience from nearly three decades of representing private and public entities in a range of civil matters. Barry believes that success, whether through trial or settlement, begins with thorough preparation and the experience to aggressively represent his clients in the courtroom.


Molly Metza


Molly Metza focuses her practice on family law, including divorce, child custody disputes, child support modifications and paternity actions. Molly has helped many people through very difficult times in their lives. Before joining Harper, Evans, Wade & Netemeyer, Molly was a prosecutor in Florida specializing in traffic homicide and serious bodily injury cases. Molly has conducted dozens of jury trials and she has no tolerance for those that dance around the justice system.

Milt Harper


Milt Harper was the founder of Harper, Evans, Wade & Netemeyer. He passed away in 2016. Milt received a B.A. from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1967 and his J.D. from the University of Missouri Law School in 1970. Milt was admitted into the Missouri Bar, United States District Court for the Western District in 1970 and in to the United States Supreme Court in 2004. Milt practiced in the areas of personal injury law, criminal defense law, and divorce law throughout Missouri.
